Stick Spinning is an intense 60-minute, on-ice session of puck handling drills for those who want to improve their feel with the stick while creating good habits at a high tempo. This class is open to both youth and adult hockey players/goaltenders of all levels and will positively impact a player's ability to control the puck while increasing their puck handling confidence.
Instructors will emphasize technique, stance, grip, footwork and utilizing peripheral. Skills will be taught in repetitions consisting of a stick handling skill, a shot and a short skating burst that last approximately the length of a typical shift (30-45 seconds). Muscle memory is key to mastering skills which is why we repeat each rep three to four times. Just like spinning class at a gym, you have the opportunity to be your best in a positive yet challenging and motivating environment.
Stick Spinning is the best way to improve your hands while simultaneously progressing through a great anaerobic workout. These sessions will push your fitness limits to the max!
