Ovi Jr. gets tooth pulled by Dad, leading to iconic selfie

Sergei Ovechkin has never looked more like his dad.

A social media video posted by Nastya Ovechkin on Monday shows Sergei getting his front tooth pulled by his dad, Alex Ovechkin, at the Washington Capitals facilities.

After Ovechkin got his son’s tooth out, the two posed for an iconic selfie -- both now missing their front teeth.

“#likefatherlikeson,” wrote Nastya in the video's caption.

The tooth-pull seemed painless, and Ovi. Jr. almost didn’t realize the tooth was out after his dad made the pull.

Sergei had to double check to make sure the tooth was out, before declaring that it was gone, leading to a cheer from the Capitals staff in the room.

Ovechkin then took a photo with his son to mark the occasion and show off their front teeth (or lack thereof).

Now all that’s left is a generous visit from the Tooth Fairy.
