San Jose Sharks forward Chris Tierney scored twice in 1:56 in the first period of Game 6 of the Western Conference Second Round against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Monday.
Tierney made it 1-0 at 9:55 when he deflected a shot from defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic through a screen and past Predators goalie Pekka Rinne. The play was reviewed but upheld after it was determined that Tierney's stick was below the level of the crossbar when he deflected the puck.

Tierney scored his second goal of the night and third of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs to make it 2-0 at 11:51 on a backhand near the front of the net after Matt Nieto's initial shot was deflected.
San Jose leads the best-of-7 series 3-2.
