rockies small things

On the night the Colorado Avalanche won the Stanley Cup, their baseball counterparts shared a little supportive karaoke.

Members of the Colorado Rockies took on Blink-182's 2000 hit "All the Small Things" and shared it on social on Sunday while the Avalanche were in the process of winning a Stanley Cup-clinching Game 6 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

"All the Small Things" became the go-to song for Avalanche fans, with it being played
almost always during the third period
of home games at Ball Arena.
Since the Rockies had a game against the Minnesota Twins and wouldn't be able to see Game 6, they decided to send a little video message for luck.
It worked.
Just minutes after the final horn sounded Sunday, the Rockies shared a congratulatory post for the Avalanche using some of the same lyrics they sang earlier.

There was, of course, the meme that came after.

The NBA and NFL teams in town, the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos, also shared a post with a reference to the song.

Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson also chimed in, congratulating the Avalanche on their Stanley Cup victory.

Finally, after a long and grueling Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Avalanche will get to carry the Cup home.
