Max McCormick scored 2:58 into the third period to give Ottawa a 2-1 lead. Jonathan Toews scored his third preseason goal to give Chicago a 1-0 lead 7:17 into the first period before Matt Duchene tied it 1-1 25 seconds into the second. Anton Forsberg made 21 saves for the Blackhawks.
