Travis-Hamonic 11-6

New York Islanders defenseman Travis Hamonic will miss 4-6 weeks because of an upper-body injury.
Hamonic was injured blocking a shot by Edmonton Oilers forward Pat Maroon at 12:13 of the first period in a 4-3 shootout loss at Barclays Center on Saturday. He played two more shifts but did not return after leaving the game at 18:16 of the first.

In 12 games this season, Hamonic has two goals and five points, and is averaging 19:46 of ice time per game.
The Islanders will recall defenseman Adam Pelech from Bridgeport of the American Hockey League on Monday, Newsday reported. Pelech, 22, has four points and a plus-3 rating in 10 AHL games. He had two points in nine games for the Islanders last season.
New York next plays the Vancouver Canucks at home on Monday (7 p.m. ET; NHLN, MSG+, SNP, NHL.TV).
The Islanders have dressed the same six defensemen for 11 of their 12 games this season. They have lost three straight games (0-1-2) and are 1-3-2 in their past six.
