Moore Family Workout

Much like everyone else during the Safer at Home order, Trevor Moore was having a difficult time adjusting to the "new" normal.
The Los Angeles native is staying at his family's home in Simi Valley, CA with his girlfriend Monique, two sisters, Marisa and Megan, Marisa's boyfriend Connor, and their parents, Dave and Sharon.
He was going a "little crazy" having to stay home all day - but his family wasn't going to let that happen.

One of the ways the family has bonded during quarantine is through group fitness classes, led by his sister and personal trainer, Marisa.
"When you work out you feel a little better." Trevor said. "She doesn't really let you escape it. If you're not really feeling up to it in the morning she goes, 'Oh, I'm running a one o'clock class.'"
Moore's parents have paused putting the final touches on their dream home, which they built with their own construction company. A makeshift gym has been set up in the garage, which includes a rowing machine, assault bike and free weights.
When they're not in the garage, the Moores are taking advantage of the sunny California weather in their backyard. Trevor's favorite training method? The stairs.
The family will get into pairs and switch off running sets - and no one in the group shies away from a little competition.
"One person will run the stairs a couple times, and then the other person is doing a core workout, and then we switch and we kind of make it a race, which is fun," Trevor said.

His sister controls the tunes, which Trevor describes as "all over the place." Mixing up the selection between her favorite songs, requests from the group and some 'old stuff' for their parents (although I'm sure they don't love it being called that).
Marisa isn't just barking out orders and playing DJ, though, she gets in on the workouts too.
"She'll do them twice if someone wants to work out later," Trevor said. "She's up before the sun, I don't understand how she does it. She's such a hard worker and this is something she's been passionate about. I'm really proud of her."
When life resumes to normal, Marisa hopes to own her own gym and help clients on a one-on-one basis.
When asked if he'd be willing to continue training with her after this is over, the forward didn't hesitate in his answer.
"One hundred percent."

His dad, Dave, is known as the self-starter of the group and is the first guy out the door in the morning, just behind Marisa.
"He's knocking on doors, waking everyone up. He's a lot like my little sister. So, they're always out there, getting ready to work out," Trevor said.
In the afternoons, Dave can be found firing up the grill for a home-cooked meal, which everyone has been pitching in with. Trevor admits to not being the best cook, but he's eager to lend a hand and help prep wherever possible. If you need some veggies chopped, he's your guy.
"We're definitely having cheat days as far as diet's concerned, but we're doing a pretty good job of rotating who's cooking and making some really cool, healthy meals," he said.
His mom, Sharon, is especially enjoying the family time.
"She gets to have all her kids home and we're all just hanging out every day. So, it's been special," Trevor said.
The remainder of their days are mixed with a variety of activities - laps in the pool, short walks around the neighborhood with their lovable labradoodle Murphy, and of course the odd TV show and video game.
Trevor recently competed in a Twitch Rivals Charity Fortnite Tournament with Mason Marchment.
"It was really fun. I had a great time doing it," Trevor said. "I haven't been gaming enough, obviously, we didn't qualify through to the second round, but we made it past the first round, which was awesome."
And more importantly, they raised money for the Kings Care Foundation while connecting with fans and having fun.

Like the rest of the country, Trevor binge-watched Tiger King… and yes, he believes Carole killed her husband.
"She knew that he wouldn't fit through the meat grinder, so it makes me think that she had an idea of how to do it," he said.
He leaves the reality shows to his sisters and girlfriend, who have been catching up on Real Housewives and Love is Blind.
But the pair of shows the entire family can all agree on?
"Every night we watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. So that's kind of something to look forward to now," Trevor said.
Though this period of time has been challenging, it's safe to say the Moore family is soaking up the quality time together and enjoying the slower pace of life.
Of course, after the daily workouts are completed.
