Devan Dubnyk 10.23

Devan Dubnyk won't play for the Minnesota Wild against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; FS-TN, FS-N, FS-WI, NHL.TV) because of an upper-body injury. The goalie is day to day.

Dubnyk was injured during a collision in the crease early in the second period of a 3-0 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday. He made nine saves before leaving the game 1:59 into the second. Alex Stalock relieved him and made 16 saves to complete the shutout.

Dubnyk is 2-5-0 in seven starts this season with a 3.92 goals-against average and .880 save percentage. He is three games shy of 500 in the NHL.
The Wild recalled goalie Kaapo Kahkonen from Iowa of the American Hockey League. He is expected to back up Stalock against the Predators.
Minnesota also placed forward Kevin Fiala on injured reserve. He sustained a lower-body injury in a 4-3 win against the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday. Fiala has one assist in seven games.
