Benn-Bishop

As it turns out, Jamie Benn, Ben Bishop and Stephen Johns are baseball Stars.

The trio of Dallas Stars players showed off their power as each blasted home runs during batting practice at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas on Monday.

Bishop's display of power may have been the least surprising, given his 6-foot-7 frame, but Johns and Benn each showed off sweet left-handed strokes. They also earned some love from the Rangers official Twitter account.

And these guys aren't just designated hitters. All three Stars lined up for the ceremonial first pitches and threw strikes.

After the hitting display but before the ceremonial first pitch, Benn joined NHL Network to talk about the player's baseball skills, his
experience at the 2018 NHL Draft
and the
biggest free agent on the market
, Islanders center John Tavares, who is currently being courted by teams and has a
standing unlimited bagel offer
to remain in New York.

Monday was the Rangers' inaugural Dallas Stars theme night, and Johns, Benn and Bishop were on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Texas' game against the San Diego Padres. They also sported the sweet Stars-colored Rangers hats that fans in attendance were given.
