The Avalanche acquired Dubnyk, a goalie, in a trade with the San Jose Sharks on Saturday for defenseman Greg Pateryn and a fifth-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft. Dubnyk was expected to join Colorado on Sunday, but Johansson is expected to start. ... Defenseman Patrik Nemeth, traded to the Avalanche by the Detroit Red Wings on Friday, will join Colorado following the conclusion of its road trip Sunday. ... Centers Steel (upper body), Getzlaf (upper body) and Grant (flu-like symptoms) each is expected to return. Steel has missed five games, Getzlaf three and Grant one.
