The hockey world and its stars have turned up again in support of the annual NHL initiative that supports cancer patients and their families. Like Toronto Maple Leafs star center Auston Matthews, who said he will shave his legendary mustache if he raises money for Movember, the provincial capital of Ottawa also did its part. CN Tower, which can be seen from across Toronto and even in some parts of the United States, shined as part of Canadian Cancer Society's partnership with the worthwhile cause. CN Tower is the first of two such lavender light-ups in support of Hockey Fights Cancer in Canada. BC Place in Vancouver will also shine lavender from sunset through 11 p.m. PT on Nov. 28.
