James Reimer and Anton Forsberg combined for a shutout in the Carolina Hurricanes' 3-0 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena on Tuesday.
It was the first preseason game for each team. Reimer made eight saves in 31:37, and Forsberg made seven in relief. Scott Wedgewood made 34 saves for the Lightning. Max McCormick gave the Hurricanes a 1-0 lead 1:19 into the first period. Lucas Wallmark extended it to 2-0 on the power play at 5:53 of the third before Colin Markison made it 3-0 at 9:55.
