Kailer Yamamoto scored two goals to help the Edmonton Oilers rally for a 4-3 win against the Calgary Flames at Rogers Place on Saturday.
Connor McDavid and Jujhar Khaira each had a goal and an assist for Edmonton, which trailed 3-1 at the end of the first period. Cam Talbot made 39 saves, including 23 over the final two periods. Johnny Gaudreau, Sam Bennett and Elias Lindholm scored 6:49 apart in the first period, when Calgary outshot Edmonton 19-5. Mark Giordano had two assists. Flames goalie Mike Smith allowed four goals on 21 shots. Yamamoto tied the game 3-3 for the Oilers at 15:27 of the second period and then gave them the lead 3:37 into the third. Oilers defenseman Adam Larsson (back) did not play after the first period, but coach Todd McLellan said after the game the injury is not considered to be serious.
