PHILADELPHIA-- Anthony Cirelli scored 1:47 into overtime to give the Tampa Bay Lightning a 6-5 win against the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday.

The Lightning led 5-1 after Brayden Point scored a power-play goal at 9:08 of the third period. The Flyers scored four times in 6:04, tying the game on Wayne Simmonds' goal with 3:32 remaining.
"We probably didn't deserve this two points, but at the end of the day we found a way," Lightning defenseman Ryan McDonagh said.

James van Riemsdyk scored his first goal since returning to play for Philadelphia (9-10-2). Travis Konecny scored twice, and Calvin Pickard made 20 saves for the Flyers, who have lost three in a row, all at home.
"[Stinks] it has to come down to 10 minutes left in the game and you're down a couple goals," Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere said. "It's a positive you take away from the game. Never give up. We got a point out of it. Not sure we had any business getting a point, but it shows the true grit of our team."

Brayden Point scored two goals for Tampa Bay (14-5-1) and tied a Lightning record with five goals in two games; he had a natural hat trick in a 4-3 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.
Adam Erne had a goal and two assists for the Lightning, and Louis Domingue made 40 saves and had an assist.
Domingue started his second straight game since Andrei Vasilevskiy was lost for 4-6 weeks because of a broken left foot sustained during practice Wednesday.
"You're going to look at the box score and it's going to say Louis gave up five, but he made some big saves for us," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said.

TBL@PHI: Point strikes on power play for second goal

Cirelli won it after missing his first chance on a 2-on-1. Pickard steered the rebound behind the net, but Cirelli outworked Simmonds for the puck, skated in front and scored.
"[Alex Killorn] gave me a great pass first off on a 2-on-1 and I kind of fumbled it," Cirelli said. "Came back to me there and I just tried to hold on to it, found a lane to the net and fired one."
Philadelphia started its comeback when Konecny scored a power-play goal at 10:24 to make it 5-2 and Couturier took advantage of a McDonagh giveaway to score another power-play goal at 11:29 that made it 5-3.
Konecny made it 5-4 when he tipped Claude Giroux's pass at 15:58, and Simmonds tied it 5-5 when he dove to knock in the rebound of Robert Hagg's shot at 16:28.
"It definitely was fun to be able to come back from 5-1 with 10 minutes left," Giroux said.
The Lightning took a 5-1 lead on power-play goals by Johnson and Point 11 seconds apart in the third. Johnson scored on a one-timer during a 5-on-3 at 8:57, and Point tapped in a pass from Steven Stamkos at 9:08.
Erne gave the Lightning a 1-0 lead at 6:02 of the second period, and Paquette made it 2-0 at 12:10.

Van Riemsdyk, playing his second game since returning from a knee injury, scored on the power play at 14:33 of the second to make it 2-1. It was his first goal since March 30 for the Toronto Maple Leafs against the New York Islanders.
Point scored at 17:05 to give the Lightning a 3-1 lead.

They said it

"Incredible all the things he does on the ice. He continues to play to his strengths, not cheat the game and play well defensively, and he knows he's going to get his looks from there. Heck of a goal." -- Lightning defenseman Ryan McDonagh on forward Anthony Cirelli
"It doesn't feel very good when you're not putting the puck to the net on the power play. It doesn't matter how many opportunities you're getting, it's about finishing. So we finally got one there and that lifted a pretty big weight." -- Flyers coach Dave Hakstol on scoring their first power-play goal in five games
