VGK@WSH: Holtby hands out souvenirs to young fans

Braden Holtby might now know how Brett Connolly feels.

It took the Washington Capitals goalie two tries, or one more attempt than he would've liked, to flip a puck to a young fan during warmups ahead of their game against the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday.

Holtby made a perfect first flip to the young boy, and the puck would've landed right in his hands if not for the guy in the suit, who intercepted the pass and threw it over the glass to a different young fan standing in the penalty box.
Holtby was incredulous that his perfect toss landed in the wrong person's hands and frantically searched for another puck to throw to the fan. After retrieving the biscuit, and a wave of his stick telling the suited man to get out of the way, Holtby made a second perfect flip also the fan's night.
The whole incident conjured thoughts of Connolly's
experience with Keelan Moxley
, the young fan who also had to wait her turn before finally receiving a puck during Game 2 of Washington's Eastern Conference First Round against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Even the Capitals couldn't deny that.
