Despite four-goal lead, Boston narrowly escapes with victory

The Boston Bruins scored the first four goals of the game and held on for a 4-3 victory against the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center.
Dale Weise, Claude Giroux and Travis Konecny scored for the Flyers in a 2:44 span in the third period, but Bruins goalie Dan Vladar made three of his 34 saves the rest of the way to preserve the one-goal lead. Weise started the Flyers rally with a shorthanded goal at 8:43, Giroux made it 4-2 on the power play at 10:25, and Konecny scored at 11:27. Peter Cehlarik (4:14) and Brandon Carlo (9:31) gave the Bruins a 2-0 lead in the first period. Chris Wagner scored shorthanded at 12:37 of the second, and Lee Stempniak made it 4-0 at 2:05 of the third. Flyers goalie Brian Elliott made 24 saves.
