During the Bridgestone NHL Outdoors on Saturday, Bellemare had fumbled his stick on his original trip out to the ice. He tried convincing those around him that it was indeed a "hot stick," but to no avail.
When Bellemare returned to the ice after an eight-hour delay caused by sunny conditions in Lake Tahoe, he made sure the second time.
When the time came to resume the game, Bellemare approached the ice cautiously - and with both hands on his stick.
