Arizona could pass the Calgary Flames and Vegas Golden Knights and tie the Edmonton Oilers for second place in the division. The Flames and Golden Knights each play Thursday.
Goaltender Marcus Hogberg likely will start for the Senators, who are 0-4-2 in their past six games.

will rejoin the team in Arizona on Friday following a five-game stint with Tucson of the American Hockey League. … Senators forward Bobby Ryan could return in a few weeks, Smith said. Ryan has been away from the team since Nov. 20 to take part in the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program.
