TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning today announced that the organization will officially raise the 2020 Stanley Cup Championship banner to the rafters at AMALIE Arena, in conjunction with the return of fans to the facility, on Saturday, March 13 as part of "re-opening night" when they take on the Nashville Predators at 7 p.m. (FOX Sports Sun, 970 WFLA). The banner was unveiled on January 13 when the Bolts opened the season, but the decision was made to not raise it completely until fans returned.

The 2020 banner will be the second Stanley Cup banner to be raised high above the ice at AMALIE Arena, joining the one from the team's first championship in 2004. The Lightning also own three Eastern Conference Championships commemorated in the rafters, 2003-04, 2014-15 and 2019-20, which was already raised prior to this season. Those are joined by banners representing division championships in 2002-03, 2003-04, 2017-18 and 2018-19, as well as the 2018-19 Presidents' Trophy for having the NHL's best regular season record. The South rafters are home to the retired numbers of Lightning greats Vincent Lecavalier (4) and Martin St. Louis (26).
The 2020 Stanley Cup banner is blue, features the Lightning logo and measures 14'x24'.
The Lightning have 18 home games remaining on their 2020-21 regular season schedule.
