(April 10, 2018) - FOX Sports Sun, the regional television home of the Tampa Bay Lightning, announced the 2017-18 Lightning regular season finished as the highest rated ever in the 25-year history of the franchise on the network. The Lightning posted a 1.83 HH rating average (34,400 homes) over the course of 75 regular season games on FOX Sports Sun. The 1.83 HH surpassed the lockout shortened 2012-13 season (1.80 HH over 43 games) to finish as the highest rated Lightning season ever and marked a +20% increase for the Lightning in year-over-year viewership.

Lightning announce broadcast schedule for Round 1 of playoffs

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have announced their broadcast schedule for the first round of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Lightning will face-off against the New Jersey Devils.

Games 1-4 will all air locally on FOX Sports Sun or FOX Sports Florida, with the exception of Saturday's Game 2, which will air nationally on NBC. The broadcast schedule for Games 5-7 is TBD.

During Sunday's contest against the Nashville Predators, Stantec awarded four students with a combined $30,000 in college scholarships. Alexis Evina-Ze, a 9th grader at Middleton High School, Genesis Estrada-Bermudez, a 9th-grader at Steinbrenner High School, Isabella Cruz, an 11th-grader at Tampa Bay Tech High School and James Ewers, a 12th-grader at Tampa Bay Tech High School were awarded their scholarships during the game on Sunday after an extensive essay and interview process.
