NYR 1, TBL 0
6:13 Chris Kreider (34) - Vladimir Tarasenko, Mika Zibanejad - PPG

NYR 2, TBL 0
7:41 Kaapo Kakko (17) - Filip Chytil, K'Andre Miller
The Rangers doubled the lead on their very next shot on goal. On the rush, Kaapo Kakko's shot from the right wing beat Vasilevskiy low to the blocker side.
NYR 3, TBL 0
10:21 Tyler Motte (7) - Barclay Goodrow, Braden Schneider
Of all three goals Vasilevskiy allowed in the first period, Tyler Motte's at 10:21 was one he would want back. Motte gathered the puck along the near wall, turned and fired toward the net. Vasilevskiy appeared to be in good position, but the shot still slipped through to put the Bolts in a 3-0 hole.
NYR 3, TBL 1
10:40 Alex Killorn (25) - Mikhail Sergachev, Nikita Kucherov - PPG
The Lightning responded to get back within two, making quick work of a power play that immediately followed Motte's goal. Just 12 seconds into the man advantage, Alex Killorn tipped home Mikhail Sergachev's point shot.
2nd Period
NYR 3, TBL 2
7:10 Darren Raddysh (1) - Alex Killorn, Brandon Hagel
Tampa Bay carried play throughout the early stages of the second and were rewarded with the first goal of the period. Darren Raddysh got credit for his first career NHL goal after his shot from the point took a deflection off Braden Schneider in front and beat Igor Shesterkin
NYR 4, TBL 2
7:25 Tyler Motte (8) - Alexis Lafreniere, Barclay Goodrow
It stayed a one-goal game for only 15 seconds before Motte scored his second of the evening. Motte made a nice play at the blue line to get past Sergachev and beat Vasilevskiy in alone to put the Rangers back up by two.
NYR 4, TBL 3
11:34 Brandon Hagel (29) - Anthony Cirelli, Victor Hedman
Shesterkin denied Anthony Cirelli on a breakaway and then again on his immediate rebound attempt. The momentum of the play caused Shesterkin to fall backward into the net, and Hagel came swooping through to put home the third chance. There was initially no goal called on the play, but a quick review revealed Hagel's shot had indeed crossed the goal line.
3rd Period
NYR 5, TBL 3
11:38 Chris Kreider (35) - Mika Zibanejad, Adam Fox
Kreider's second goal gave New York some insurance with less than nine minutes remaining in the third. Mika Zibanejad's first shot hit the post, but Kreider was lurking in the crease to sweep home the rebound.
NYR 6, TBL 3
13:49 Artemi Panarin (26) - Mika Zibanejad, Adam Fox - PPG
With Nikita Kucherov off for tripping, Artemi Panarin rebuilt the Rangers' three-goal lead with a power play goal. Panarin waited for traffic to settle in the shooting lane and take away Vasilevskiy's vision before wristing a shot through.
