Nuts and Bolts: Tampa Bay looks to continue dominance over Carolina

The Lightning host the red hot Carolina Hurricanes at Amalie Arena on Tuesday night.
Carolina has gotten off to a fast start this year, recording points in five of their first six games. This will be the finale of a three-game trip for the Hurricanes after stops in Minnesota and Winnipeg last weekend.

Tampa Bay is the only team in the NHL yet to give up a power-play goal...The Lightning penalty kill is a perfect 14-of-14 through three games, the first time since 2014-15 the Bolts penalty kill hasn't given up a goal through the opening three games..The Lightning can match the franchise record for most consecutive games without allowing a power-play goal to start a season (4 set in 2011-12 and 2000-01) tonight ...Tampa Bay's penalty kill is 23-of-24 over the last eight games (including playoffs)...The Bolts are allowing just 2.33 goals per game, sixth best in the NHL.

Hurricane Michael Donation Drive
The Tampa Bay Lightning announced today that they will be teaming up with PODS® Moving & Storage and Feeding Tampa Bay to host donation drives that will benefit those impacted by Hurricane Michael in the Florida Panhandle. A PODS Container will be on Ford Thunder Alley prior to the Bolts games on Tuesday and Thursday for fans to donate items.
Fans are encouraged to donate shelf-stable items that do not require power to eat or prepare including granola bars, peanut butter, canned tuna, soup, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products. Donated items will be shipped to the Florida Panhandle at the end of the week courtesy of Feeding Tampa Bay.
