About the Kings Care Foundation
The mission of Kings Care Foundation (Federal Tax ID # 95-4443065) is to support families in Los Angeles by dedicating financial and in-kind resources to services and programs.
To that end, the LA Kings Hockey Club reinvests in LA-based non-profits in the areas of wellness, sustainability, social advocacy and inclusion. Among the resources offered to the local community by the foundation, G.O.A.L.S. equips children in Los Angeles with the practical skills and tools they need to lead healthy lives and is executed with the help of Blue Shield of California.
About Grades of Green
Grades of Green is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that empowers and inspires students of all ages and backgrounds to become the environmental leaders of the future. Since its birth in Manhattan Beach, CA, 10 years ago, Grades of Green has impacted more than 600,000 students across the globe in 47 states and 27 countries.
Right now, Grades of Green's student Eco-Leaders are in the midst of the 2020 Waste Campaign - Reduce Plastics program in which student leaders launch environmentally-focused campaigns with Grades of Greens' support. When a student team joins a campaign, they are paired with a Grades of Green mentor who provides personal guidance, research and leadership coaching.
Participating student teams gain access to a speaker series featuring environmental experts, the opportunity to connect with other Grades of Green students around the world, and the chance to earn eco-grants to extend the impact of their environmental project. Grades of Green provides student teams with these services at no cost.
