LA-Kings-Plays-of-the-Week-3-21-17

The LA Kings returned from the bye week and performed, well, subpar.
After three tough losses, the last week did not seem like it would provide too many highlights. Fortunately, Tanner Pearson, Dustin Brown and Peter Budaj gave us some bright spots to look back at.

5) Brown Stays on Top of the Puck to Score
!
Goals don't always have to be pretty.
Brown may be about to hit the ice, but that doesn't stop him from getting the puck into the net.
At least LaDue and Carter were still standing so they could celebrate for him.
4) Budaj Denies Silfverberg
!
Budaj stays quick on his feet to deny Silfverberg the wraparound goal.
But denying Silfverberg once wasn't good enough. Budaj stops his rebound as well.
3) Pearson's Top Shelf Goal
!
While this goal did not get the Kings back into the game against the Coyotes, it can't be denied it was a beauty.
From Kopitar's pass splitting the defenders to Pearson's perfect placement of the puck - this defines what a gorgeous goal looks like.
2) Budaj's Back-to-Back Saves
!
Budaj makes save after save late in the third period against the Ducks, keeping the Kings deficit only at 1.
1) Pearson Schools Coyotes' Defense to Beat Luongo
!
"Nice try, guys" - Pearson
Tanner making it look easy to beat the defense and then placing the puck neatly in between Luongo's legs.
Of the five Kings goals in the last three games, Tanner Pearson had three of them. Clearly, he's learning from his father, I mean, Jeff Carter.
