This Saturday, a Try Hockey for Free Clinic and Gear Collection effort takes place. Led by Blake Bolden, the Kings' AHL Scout/Growth and Inclusion Specialist, a free on-ice clinic for kids ages 5-10 to take the ice to experience the game for the first time will take from 2-3 p.m. at the Toyota Sports Performance Center in El Segundo (555 North Nast Street).
Later that evening, a similar event takes place at a nearby rink along with a specific effort to ask fans to donate used equipment. Beginning at 5:45 p.m., at LA Kings Ice at the Prominade in Rolling Hills Estates, Bolden will again be on the ice with young hockey players where, again, helmet, stick and skate rentals will be provided for all participants. Gear Collection at the facility, which is located within the Promenade on the Peninsula mall, starts at 5 p.m.
On Sunday, November 7, another Gear Collection effort takes place at the Toyota Sports Performance Center from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
