LA Kings Take on Offseason: Meet the Thompsons

This NHL offseason has gone from one LA Kings' wedding to the next.
Kings 2018 trade acquisition, Nate Thompson, just recently tied the knot to his fiancée, Sydney.

Nate popped the question last August in Maui, Hawaii. He coordinated a "dinner" with the hotel so that she would have no suspicion.
"We went to dinner and they ended up taking us to take some 'pictures' that the hotel was offering, which was totally made up. The hotel had a great spot set up for me with someone playing the guitar, plus there was a photographer and videographer while I proposed," explained Nate.
Sounds just picture perfect.
Like many of his teammates that were also planning weddings during season, Nate laughed as he said "I was there for moral support."
Thankfully, Sydney and her mom took on the job wedding planning.
... which, by the pictures alone, we can tell they were the ones for the job.

But is anything different now that they are married?
In short, no.
"To be honest, the only thing different now is that I call her my wife. Other than that, we are status quo," Nate confessed.
