Kings Notes:
The Kings were perfect on the penalty kill for the eighth-straight game, killing off both of the Sharks' power-play chances on Monday. They are 76-for-89 on the penalty kill, ranking fourth in the NHL in PK percentage (85.4 pct.). They have only allowed 13 opponent power-play tallies this year, tied for the fourth-least in the league. Since March 6 the Kings have killed off 18 of 19 power plays (94.7%) which is the best in the league during that span.
Matt Roy scored his first goal of the season on Monday night against San Jose. It was Roy's first goal since December 19, 2019 vs. Boston.
