ABTV and the Los Angeles Kings proudly announced today the television broadcast team for the 2026-27 season. Longtime NHL broadcaster John Kelly returns for his second season as the LA Kings’ lead play-by-play announcer, once again joined in the booth by beloved Kings analyst Jim Fox.
Kelly, a second-generation broadcaster who has called NHL action since 1989, returns to the Kings for his 39th season as an NHL broadcaster. Josh Schaefer also returns to work play-by-play for select games.
Fox returns as the lead analyst and has spent more than four decades with the Kings as a player and broadcaster. Former Kings Jarret Stoll and Daryl Evans will also break down the action on “LA Kings Live” pregame, postgame and intermission coverage, and will rotate into the analyst position throughout the season. Fan favorites Patrick O’Neal and Carrlyn Bathe return as “LA Kings Live” hosts, with Bathe also reporting from rinkside.
Kings alumni Tony Granato and Alec Martinez will also appear as analysts for select telecasts. Granato played seven of his 13 NHL seasons for the Kings before coaching the Avalanche, Team USA and his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin. Martinez, a 16-year NHL veteran and three-time Stanley Cup champion, will make his broadcasting debut on select Kings broadcasts as an analyst.
Kings broadcasts on ABTV begin September 26 with the team’s preseason finale against the Anaheim Ducks. Saturday’s telecast will be available free to fans on the DAZN app. Regular-season coverage on the network begins when the Kings visit the San Jose Sharks on October 3. Fans will have multiple ways to watch throughout the season, including through participating television providers, on DAZN and through select over-the-air broadcasts.
Below is a look at the viewing options available for LA Kings fans during the 2026–27 season:
• Cable/Satellite/Streaming Provider: Angels Broadcast Television is widely available on cable, satellite, and streaming providers, including Spectrum (Ch. 320), DIRECTV (Ch. 692), and Cox (Ch. 64 in Orange County; Ch. 53 in Palos Verdes; Ch. 37 in Santa Barbara).
• Stream on DAZN: For fans without a traditional television subscription, LA Kings on DAZN (dazn.com/kings) will provide an in-market streaming option for available local games, subject to national exclusivities. Where supported, authenticated subscribers whose television package includes ABTV may also be able to access LA Kings games through the DAZN app using their provider credentials. Additional TV Everywhere authentication information will be available prior to the start of the season.
• Over-the-air: Select LA Kings games are expected to be available over-the-air this season. Details, including the full schedule and station information, will be announced later.
