WINNIPEG, March 20, 2022 - The Winnipeg Jets, in conjunction with the National Hockey League, today announced that forward Kyle Connor has been named the NHL's Second Star of the Week for the week ending March 19.
Connor, 25, began the week with a goal and two assists in Winnipeg's 7-3 win over the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday. On Friday, the 2015 first-round pick picked up an assist in a 4-2 setback to the Boston Bruins. Connor capped off his week by matching his single-game career high with four points (1G, 3A) on Sunday in a 6-4 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks. The Shelby Township, Mich. native's eight points and six assists were both second-most in the NHL this week.

On the season, Connor leads the Jets in goals (39), assists (38), and points (77), all of which are career-highs. He is fifth in the NHL in goals, sixth in points, and his 272 shots lead Winnipeg and rank third in the league. Connor, who is currently on a career-best seven-game point streak (6G, 9A), also represented the Jets for Team Central at the 2022 NHL All-Star Game.
This is the second time this season (also First Star on Oct. 25/21) and the fifth time in his career that Connor has been selected in the NHL's Three Stars of the Week. He is the third Jets selection in 2021-22 after his Oct. 25/21 First Star performance and Nikolaj Ehlers' Third Star pick on Dec. 20/21.
