The Carolina Hurricanes will host their seventh annual Alumni Game presented by Lenovo on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 3 p.m. at PNC Arena. This event provides fans a chance to skate alongside Hurricanes alumni and experience an NHL-like gameday at PNC Arena. Fans do not need a ticket to attend the game; it is open to the public with an optional donation to the Kids 'N Community Foundation at the door. All proceeds from the event benefit the Kids 'N Community Foundation. Fans who donate $5 or more will receive a 2018 Alumni Game water bottle.

Confirmed Hurricanes alumni participants include:

  • Bryan Bickell (debut)
  • Rod Brind'Amour
  • Erik Cole
  • Tim Gleason
  • Tim Brent
  • Bates Battaglia
  • Jesse Boulerice

The alumni will be playing with individuals who paid an entry fee to participate in the game. Limited space remains to play in the game. Click here to register! Final team assignments will be announced to the participants at a private event on Thursday, Jan. 11.

The game will feature three, 20-minute periods with a running clock and an intermission following the second period. PNC Arena doors will open at 2 p.m. Fans can park (free!) and enter on the East side of PNC Arena, where there will be general seating.

What else is going on?

  • Hurricanes play-by-play announcer John Forslund will be calling the action live. Tripp Tracy will join Forslund for in-game analysis and interviews between the benches.
  • Stormy and the Pepsi Storm Squad will be in attendance.
  • The fan experience will mimic that of a true gameday at PNC Arena
  • There will be only one intermission (following the second period) and two "TV timeouts" per period. These stoppages will be filled with promotions, contests, interviews with alumni and more.
  • Additional in-game features include pregame team announcements, behind-the-scenes footage and vintage videos highlighting Canes alumni.
  • The Kids 'N Community Foundation will offer an auction during the game.
