Relive the most memorable moments from that day below.
The event once again put Golden Knights team owner Bill Foley in the spotlight.
As much as that day belonged to both Foley and the franchise, it also belonged to the people of Las Vegas. Especially the children who'll be the first generation of local residents to grow up with a major league sports franchise of their own.
Foley and general manager George McPhee posed for photos wearing their brand new Golden Knights caps.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman was also on hand.
As were a large number of fans.
In the end, November 22's event was a preview for what Las Vegas has in store for it.
