LAST TIME OUT
The Golden Knights defeated the Los Angeles Kings, 6-4, on Thursday night at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City. Reilly Smith led the way with three points (2G, 1A) while Mark Stone (2A), Brayden McNabb (1G, 1A), Jack Eichel (2A), and Chandler Stephenson (1G, 1A) each had two points.
OPPOSITION UPDATE
Arizona finished eighth in the Central Division last season with 57 points and an overall record of 25-50-7. The Coyotes missed the playoffs for the second year in a row. They were led by their highest scorer Clayton Keller, who notched 63 points (28G, 35A) during the regular season. Their third highest scorer was current Golden Knight Phil Kessel, who reached 52 points (8G, 44A) during his time with the club.
KEYS TO THE GAME
Last Chance U:Saturday's game is the last chance for players to show what they're made of before the opening night roster is determined. Players that make the trip to Boise will put everything they have into the game.
VGK Territory: Boise was a stop on the Vegas Golden Knights Road Trip over the summer and the fans in the area showed out to show their support for the team. They'll don their gold and cheer like they're at The Fortress on Saturday.
