WHAT'S THE BUZZ:

"Large, composed netminder with accurate and controlled lateral movements, great reflexes and post coverage. Struggles with shots that are closer to his body, and can give up avoidable rebounds, but could become a fringe starter at the NHL level." -
Hadi Kalakeche, Dobber Prospects

CUT TO THE CHASE:

What separates Brennan from other goaltenders in his draft class is his composure. Sure, he's got nice size at 6-foot-4, 184 pounds. And he takes up a lot of space in the crease. But his calm demeanor and coolness in the crease really stands out among the pack.
Brennan had split the crease in Prince George with Taylor Gauthier for the past two years until the latter's trade to Portland this past season. That meant Brennan was thrust into full-time duty. Playing for an average Cougar team meant that Brennan saw a lot of rubber during games. And sure, the athleticism, the post-to-post play, the bigness that he projects in the crease are all assets, but his calm under the pressure of those shots and mental toughness has really put him a notch above the rest.

YOU CAN QUOTE ME:

"I work really hard all the time. I'm competing all the time to be the best that I can. I have some skills, but I don't think it comes without hard work. I'm working hard to get better every day." -on why he is the No. 1 ranked North American goaltender
