In a condensed season, with limited travel, the NHL realigned into new divisions for the 2020-21 seasons. Many have said the East Division, which includes the Devils, looks to be the toughest.
That won't deter Kyle Palmieri and the Devils from embracing the opportunity.
"I know as a team we're going to look forward to all these games and every night has its implications and you want to go out there and whether or not they're the Rangers or the Islanders or the Flyers or Buffalo or Boston, it's games you want to go out there and win."
It's going to be a playoff atmosphere between teams, right from the get-go. Another moment to embrace.
"When you're playing teams that many times over the course of the season, you want to make sure you start off on the right foot and get off to a good start and play from a lead and you win the series.
You get the feeling good and with so many games and a condensed schedule. That kind of feeling is contagious and it tends to roll momentum and for our group and we're really looking forward to getting started with it."
