outofoffice

Did the ping from your inbox sound a little bit sweeter just now? That's because the angelic voice of the Devils is featured in this week's Out of Office. Find out what your favorite anthem singer has been up to during the pause, and you might just be saying 'grazie' when you see what content is coming from Arlette.

This is the very "official" recipe for it, as dictated by my mom: "Throw some onions, garlic, tomatoes, thyme and parsley in vegetable oil, fry it up, then add the flaked cod fillets or flaked smoked herring. Oh, and stick your thumb in it." (thanks mom).
For the fried bakes she was even more vague. Everyone just go look it up on the internet, mom was no help.

Meet Zoey
What can I say? I didn't do the research. Had I known about the energy level of the Labrador retriever, their voracious appetite, and their love of chewing any and everything, including my favorite shoes, I would have never given in to my kids and gotten this darn dog last summer. But now she's here and of course I'm in love.
I take her to this huge empty field near my home, where I've been working on training her. I've been using
The Labrador Site
for some tips on how to raise the perfect lab pup. Our bond is getting so much stronger and we understand each other so much more.

The Kids Are Alright
My kids have literally not left the house in four weeks …and they are so okay with it that it's concerning! They socialize with their friends online a lot. I can always hear the laughter of groups of children coming from my kids' bedrooms. Homeschooling for me has been quite a challenge. It is time-consuming and a huge added responsibility, but like with Zoey, I'm using this one-on-one teaching time to help strengthen some of their academic areas. I give a lot of credit to their teachers, who have been wonderful in this time of remote learning.
Project-Italiano.
This new project is my baby! Many people do not know this about me, but I speak Italian fluently. I actually have my bachelor's degree in Italian and I'm an Italian teacher. I spent a lot of time in Italy over a period of about 20 years and developed a great passion for the culture, people, and most of all the music! I've decided to use this time to start
Project-Italiano
. I am making videos of myself singing songs some from some of the most iconic Italian singers, and will give a little Italian lesson based on the song itself at the end of each video. I'm having the most amazing time with this project and I want to invite everyone to share this journey with me!
