With having only one game in a 10-day stretch, the Devils took some much needed time off away from the rink. New Jersey was given a full weekend off (Saturday and Sunday). Typically, players are given one day off a week (required by the CBA). But with the unique situation, the Devils managed to get two.
However, they were back on the ice Monday in Newark, refreshed and ready to roll.
Head coach Lindy Ruff missed practice due to personal reasons.
