Brock Boeser picked a helluva time to score his first career overtime game-winning goal.
Considering the opponent, we should have seen it coming.

Boeser scored his second goal of the season 34 seconds into OT Tuesday night as the Canucks beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2; the win was Vancouver's third straight during their current six-game road trip, and third straight versus the Penguins.
The goal, Boeser's first career OT point, moves the 21-year-old past Bobby Lalonde for the seventh most career game-winners before age 22 in Canucks franchise history, according to TSN Stats. Trevor Linden and Pavel Bure hold the record with 15 each.

In 2016-17, the Canucks lost both games against the eventual Stanley Cup champion Penguins. Vancouver was shutout twice.
Fast-forward to last season, Boeser's first in the NHL. The Canucks beat the Penguins in both outings, led by Boeser's five goals, including his first career hat-trick.
Another goal against the Penguins this season gives Boeser six, and seven points, in three career games versus Sidney Crosby and company.

Boeser can't quite explain it, although he admits playing against the best helps bring out his best.
