BostonBruins.com - Bruins goaltending prospect Kyle Keyser was named to the initial U.S. Roster for the 2018 World Junior Summer Showcase. Keyser attended the Bruins rookie camp last September and has spent the previous two seasons in the OHL with the Oshawa Generals alongside fellow Bruins prospect Jack Studnicka.

Keyser signed an entry-level contract with the Bruins in October. As the starting goaltender for the Generals, the 19-year-old appeared in 47 games, amassing a 28-13-0 record and recording a 3.16 goals against average and a .904 save percentage in the high-scoring OHL.
The U.S. contingent for the 2018 World Junior Showcase consists of 42 total players who will be competing for spots on the final roster, including six returnees from last year's bronze medal winning team. The week-long camp, which runs from July 28-August 4, includes competitions against Canada, Finland and Sweden.
Keyser will be up against three other goaltenders in the competition for a roster spot, including Keith Petruzzelli (Detroit, 2017 third round), Cayden Primeau (Montreal, 2017 seventh round) and Spencer Knight (2019 Draft Eligible). Both Petruzzelli and Primeau play college hockey for Quinnipiac University and Northeastern University, respectively, while Knight is a member of the US National U18 Team in the USHL.
