The Boston Bruins will host Hockey Fights Cancer Night, presented by Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH), on Thursday, October 22, during their home game against the Nashville Predators at 7 p.m. at TD Garden. Now in its 28th season, Hockey Fights Cancer is a joint initiative of the NHL and the NHL Players’ Association powered by the V Foundation for Cancer Research presented by AstraZeneca. The initiative unites the global hockey community through storytelling and meaningful events to fundraise for cancer research while educating and empowering fans to learn about cancer risk factors and take action to get screened for certain cancers.

Throughout the evening, lavender, the color representing all forms of cancer awareness, will be incorporated into the game in several ways. Bruins coaches and broadcasters will wear lavender pins in support of those impacted by cancer.

Ahead of the season, the Boston Bruins and BILH announced a multiyear partnership focused on community engagement and education through health and wellness campaigns. As the presenting sponsor of Hockey Fights Cancer Night, BILH is partnering with the Bruins to raise awareness around the importance of cancer screenings and will recognize physicians, nurses, patients and caretakers throughout the game.

Fans will have the opportunity to fill out ‘I Fight For’ cards by visiting staff tables in Loge 5/6, Loge 7/8, Loge 11/12, Loge 15/16 and Balcony 318/319. The cards can be displayed during the second period, when the Bruins take a moment to honor those who have fought or are currently fighting cancer.

During the game, the Bruins will recognize Dr. Laura Dominici as the Community All-Star. Dominici is a nationally recognized breast surgeon and researcher at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She has played a key role in expanding access to high-quality breast cancer care across eastern Massachusetts and her research has deepened understanding of the long-term quality-of-life impacts of breast cancer surgery.

Tickets to Thursday's game have been donated to cancer patients at hospitals in the Greater Boston area. Members of the Boston Bruins will meet with pediatric cancer patients from the local Boston area.

Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman has served as the Club’s Hockey Fights Cancer Champion since the 2025-26 season, using his platform to raise awareness and support individuals and families impacted by cancer. The longtime Bruin has been actively involved in the team’s annual community hospital visits throughout his time with the Club, helping to uplift patients and their families. In addition to being the Bruins’ Hockey Fights Cancer Champion, the goaltender is an ambassador for the V Foundation, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to advancing cancer research.

The Bruins Foundation will host an online auction for the team-issued, autographed Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys. The auction will end at 10 p.m. on Friday, October 30. Fans can visit https://HFCJERSEYS.givesmart.com or text HFCJERSEYS to 76278 to place a bid.

Additionally, an online raffle will be held for a team-issued Morgan Geekie autographed Hockey Fights Cancer jersey. Fans can click HERE to purchase tickets for the online raffle. Fans can also visit the Boston Bruins Foundation table located outside Loge 5/6 for more information on in-game raffles. The online raffle will end at 10 p.m. on Friday, October 30. The auction and raffles will benefit the Cam Neely Foundation.

Thursday's 50/50 raffle will also support the Cam Neely Foundation, an organization that provides comfort, support and hope to cancer patients and their families. Tickets can be purchased throughout the game and online at BostonBruins.com/5050.

The Bruins will honor the memory of Alex Gimenez during Thursday’s game. Gimenez joined the organization in July 2026 as Director of Hockey Operations, Collective Bargaining Agreement and passed away in September following a battle with cancer. In his memory, proceeds from individually signed mystery pucks sold by the Boston Bruins Foundation on Thursday will benefit the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (CCF), a global organization committed to advancing research and enhancing the quality of life for those affected by cholangiocarcinoma.

The Foundation will also present a check for over $290,000 to the Pan-Mass Challenge, a Massachusetts-based-bike-a-thon that raises money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In August, over 30 riders representing the Bruins Foundation participated in the 192-mile ride to raise funds and awareness for cancer treatment and research.

The ProShop powered by ’47 will have exclusive Hockey Fights Cancer merchandise available for fans to show their support, including jerseys, hats, sweatshirts and pucks. Fans can shop in-person at the store on the Hub on Causeway or online at BostonProshop.com.
