LANESKOG

Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog did not participate in Day 1 of the team's training camp on Thursday at Family Sports Ice Center due to a lower-body injury that will keep him out of the lineup through the start of the season.

"Landeskog is dealing with a [lower body] injury from last season," Avalanche Head Coach Jared Bednar said. "He's not ready to go. We don't have a time table yet for putting him on the ice. He won't skate anytime soon."
Landeskog underwent knee surgery in March, but returned to the lineup for the team's eventual Stanley Cup winning run where he dressed in all 20 postseason games and totaled 22 points (11G, 11A) in that span.
