The Avalanche lost 2-1 to the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday. Sam Malinski scored one of Colorado's 33 shots on goal while Jonathan Drouin and Juuso Parssinen each posted an assist. In net for the Avs, Scott Wedgewood made 15 saves.

How It Happened

Malinski opened the scoring with his second goal of the season via a slap shot from above the right circle set up by Drouin's drop pass at 1:15 of the second period.

Nashville's Justin Barron tied the game at 1:45 of the middle frame with a slap shot from the point through traffic.

Jonathan Marchessault gave Nashville a 2-1 lead at 9:11 of the third period with a backhand shot from the left doorstep.
