Quote That Left a Mark
"I can't think of one thing that we talked about after last game and went through that we didn't implement in our game and improve on. We were 100 times better off the rush. We were closing plays out quickly in the [defensive] zone and hanging around [and] not swinging away. The habits were good. We were getting in and out of the zone. We were still dangerous off the rush. Our [defensemen] were helping. Our rush coverage was so much better...The things that we liked out of the first game, they were multiplied in this one. And the things that we didn't like were so much better."
-- Jared Bednar on how the Avalanche improved upon its performance in the first game of the season
