The Sens are in Denver getting set to take on the Avalanche tonight at 7 p.m. and we've got 5 key things to get you ready for puck drop.

1. Starting Goalies

Craig Anderson (20-8-1) starts in net tonight against Colorado in the midst of a personal 5-game winning streak. Anderson's numbers on the season continue to improve and he's vaulted himself into the top 10 in the league for GAA (2.24), save percentage (.931) and shutouts (4).

At the other end of the rink, it looks like Calvin Pickard (12-21-2) will probably start for the Avalanche. Pickard has struggled this season (as have most of the Avalanche) but he is in the midst of a 2-game winning streak earning decisions over the Hurricanes and Devils this past week.

2. Line-up notes

Some lingering injuries ahead of tonight's game in Denver as both Kyle Turris and Mark Borowiecki will remain out of the line-up. Unfortunately, they'll be joined in the press box by Mark Stone who left Thursday's game with a lower body injury and has been ruled out for tonight. Phil Varone, who was recalled yesterday, will draw into the line-up in his place. Not entirely sure how the lines will look just yet but the coach mentioned that the Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Chris Kelly lines would remain the same so it's likely Varone will play alongside Zack Smith and Ryan Dzingel or Derick Brassard and Alex Burrows.
You can hear the coach talk more about injuries and the line-up below...

3. Previous Meeting

These teams met in Ottawa just 9 days ago and it was a pretty nice finish for the home team that night. Alex Burrows potted a pair of goals in his Sens debut to lead his new club to a 2-1 win over the Avalanche. As usual, Craig Anderson was stellar stopping 22 of the 23 shots he faced to pick up the decision.

4. Stats dump

It was a day off for the team yesterday and as is sometimes the case, we were treated to some lovely numbers from our friends over at Sens Communications. Since I also like numbers (and in case you missed them) I thought it might make sense to drop their tweets in today's blog. So here you go...STATS DUMP!

5. Broadcast

Game time is set for 7 p.m. tonight in Denver and you can catch all the action on City and TVAS.
Oh and hey Brockville. Looking for a spot to watch the game? Check out tonight's Molson Canadia Puck Party at The Keystorm Pub. We're giving away front row seats to an upcoming Sens game AND a limo ride to and from Canadian Tire Centre.
