20221118 Subban Amerks Mediawall Overlay Update

Both Malcolm Subban and Matej Pekar will make his season debuts for the Rochester Americans tonight when they host the Utica Comets.
Subban sustained a lower-body injury during Rochester's preseason game on October 9 with a lower-body injury and has been practicing with the team since October 25.
He played just four games for the Sabres last year before an upper-body injury that occurred on December 2 forced him to have season-ending surgery.

"He's obviously had a lot of things go against him the last couple years with injuries so the guys are going to be really excited to play in front of him tonight," Amerks coach Seth Appert said Friday.
Pekar is recovering from off-season shoulder surgery and was assigned to Rochester on October 17 after starting the season on the Sabres' non-roster injury list.
Selected by the Sabres in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Draft, Pekar recorded six points (3+3) in 47 AHL games last season.
The Sabres recalled goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen on Thursday. Sabres goaltender Eric Comrie will be out for a few weeks with a lower-body injury.

Forward Lukas Rousek is tied for second in team scoring with 11 points (4+7) in 13 games.
Amerks.com checked in on his season so far:
"There's a big difference from last year because I was out with injuries for 60 games, probably. So, this year, the coaches have really helped me and I play the first or second line," stated Rousek when asked how he's already made major offensive strides early on in the 2022-23 campaign.
In his first season with Rochester in 2021-22, Rousek appeared in only 19 games after recovering from an offseason injury, finishing with four points (one goal, three assists). Following the regular-season, Rousek went on to rank second among all Amerks rookies with two goals and finished third among all first-year players with six points in 10 Calder Cup Playoff contests during the Amerks' run to the North Division Finals.
"My preference this year, and on this team, has been defensive and offensive. It's more looking to play all-around faster or go for the biggest chances," he said.
