Calling All Elementary School Students!

The Detroit Red Wings and alternate captain Justin Abdelkader are excited to announce the fourth year of Red Wings for Reading, presented by Michigan Education Savings Program (MESP), to encourage Michigan elementary school students to read outside the classroom.

All kindergarten through fifth grade students in Michigan are encouraged to enter this fun contest by reading three or more books for their grade level, as selected by Abdelkader, or by having someone read those three books to them. Don't forget to log how many minutes you spend reading each book!

Fun Prizes!

Prizes for Students:
Every student who submits an online entry form by January 31, 2017 will become a member of Justin Abdelkader's Abby's All Stars and will receive an official Red Wings for Reading Fan Pack. Grand Prize for Schools:
One (1) Michigan elementary school with the highest participation rate through Tuesday, January 31, 2017 based on a percentage of participants versus total student population will win an opportunity for Justin Abdelkader to read to a classroom of students!
