More than 30,000 youth in Detroit will experience hockey through a distinctive array of events and engagements. The Red Wings are working with several metro Detroit and national organizations to coordinate the exclusive programming, curriculum and operation of the platform.
For the first time, Detroit Red Wings fans across the great state of Michigan can now proudly display the Winged Wheel on their vehicle with the official release of Red Wings-branded State of Michigan fundraising license plates.
The Detroit Red Wings Foundation proudly accepts donations from fans wishing to support the cause. Autographs for a Cause supports charitable causes close to the hearts of Detroit Red Wings players in partnership with the Detroit Red Wings Foundation. Through this program, fans are invited to send hockey cards and/or photos through the mail for Red Wings players to autograph in exchange for a donation to benefit the player's charity of choice.
The Detroit Red Wings Foundation 50/50 Raffle program proudly supports various charitable organizations throughout Michigan. The program provides non-profit organizations with the opportunity to raise funds in conjunction with the Detroit Red Wings Foundation by selling raffle tickets during select Red Wings home games. Since inception, the 50/50 Raffle has raised more than $600,000 for local non-profits and the Detroit Red Wings Foundation.
Each season, fans receive an opportunity to go head-to-head with current and former Detroit Red Wings players in a game of Texas Hold 'Em at MotorCity Casino Hotel's Annual Red Wings Charity Poker Tournament benefiting the Detroit Red Wings Foundation. The event helps the Detroit Red Wings Foundation contribute significant funds toward the growth of the sport of hockey.
On February 19, 2020, the glitz and glam of the roaring 20s comes to Little Caesars Arena for the 20th annual Toast of Hockeytown. The Detroit Red Wings Foundation's signature event has been completely reimagined for its 20th anniversary.
The Detroit Red Wings Foundation hosted the 3rd Annual Paint the Ice event on April 12, 2019. This family friendly event gives hundreds of fans, young and old, a chance to paint a personal message or work of art on the ice surface of the Red Wings' home ice.
Last season, Tim Hortons donated over $82,000 to the Detroit Red Wings Foundation to support the growth of hockey in Metro Detroit from sales generated throughout Michigan with their signature "I Love the Red Wings" donut.
Warm Up Puck Sales
Following the conclusion of warm-ups on games listed below, pucks will be gathered from the ice surface and offered for sale across from Portal 13, next to the Team Store. Included with every puck is a complimentary display case, and proceeds benefit the Detroit Red Wings Foundation.
Sales are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Please note there is a maximum of two puck sales per transaction.
