Forward Lias Andersson scored twice for Sweden in its 6-1 victory over Belarus in the opening game of the 2018 World Junior Championship in Buffalo on Tuesday.
The 2017 seventh overall pick, who was named captain of the team last week, was a plus-2 and logged 17:41 of ice time.

Not to be outdone, fellow 2017 first-round pick Filip Chytil notched a goal and an assist in the Czech Republic's 5-4 upset win over Russia. The 18-year-old logged 15:17 of ice time in the victory.
The two prospects face off Thursday at 4 pm eastern.
