LOS ANGELES, CA – Goaltender Devon Levi will draw the start for the Edmonton Oilers tonight as they look to make it a perfect California road trip and extend their win streak to five in a row at Crypto.com Arena against the Los Angeles Kings.

Outside the crease, the Blue & Orange will deploy the same lineup that earned them the 3-1 win over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday afternoon, after Head Coach Mike Babcock confirmed this morning that Zach Hyman and Jake Walman won't be available to make their returns from respective injuries.

Babcock added that Hyman was "really close" to suiting up tonight, having been out since playing 20:33 of ice time in Edmonton's opening night defeat to the Canucks, while Walman is set to miss a second game in a row with an upper-body injury sustained from blocking a shot in the win over Anaheim to begin the road trip.

In addition to Hyman's impending return, the Oilers have additional reinforcements on the way in Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Colton Dach and Mattias Janmark, who've all been on the ice over the past few days as they all work their way back to full health.

Shakir Mukhamadullin will keep his place on the left side of the Oilers' third pairing alongside Ty Emberson in Walman's absence, with Babcock saying that he saw the defenceman play with some renewed confidence from his opportunity on Saturday.

"I don't think whether he played the right or the left had anything to do with how he played. I just think confidence is important, and he was much sterner, much firmer to play against, and he wasn't in on mistakes," Babcock said.

"Any way you look at it, as a D man, the number one thing is to keep it out of your net and not give up chances, and he did that."

The Oilers are the only remaining team in the NHL this season without a regulation loss, and they'll be in tough against a desperate Kings team that's still looking for its first win of 2026-27 under Head Coach Peter Laviolette.

Cracking LA's always-tough neutral-zone forecheck will be a challenge for the Oilers, who hope to return to Edmonton riding a five-game win streak after a long three-game California road trip that gave them plenty of time between games to work on reducing mistakes and tightening up their overall game.

"It's a big game for us here tonight," Babcock said. "We gotta get our mind right, and we gotta get ready to play. They're not gonna give up a ton. Through the neutral zone, you're gonna have to work. You're gonna have to win the game in the O zone, on the cycle and climb on the goalie, because they won't give you anything off the rush."
