The 2022 Upper Deck NHL Draft will be held July 7-8 at Bell Centre in Montreal. The first round will be July 7 (7 p.m. ET; ESPN, ESPN+, SN, TVAS) and rounds 2-7 are July 8 (11 a.m. ET; NHLN, ESPN+, SN, TVAS). NHL.com is counting down to the draft with in-depth profiles on top prospects, podcasts and other features. NHL.com's full draft coverage can be found here.

Tyler Brennan has "the potential to be a quality NHL goalie down road" because of his presence and size, Al Jensen of NHL Central Scouting said on the "NHL Draft Class" podcast.
Brennan (6-foot-4, 185 pounds) was 11-25-2 with a 3.58 goals-against average, .899 save percentage and four shutouts in 39 games, and was 0-3 with a 1.86 GAA and .954 save percentage in four WHL playoff games. He is No. 1 on
NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American goalies
for the 2022 Upper Deck NHL Draft.
"There's a huge upside with this kid; he's very calm, athletic and has got that presence that you could see, down the road, this kid's going to have a chance to play," Jensen said. "There's so much to work with. He covers so much of a net, I like his presence and he's a very smart goalie."

Jensen also discussed the differences between Dylan Silverstein (No. 3 in Central Scouting's final ranking of North American goalies) and Tyler Muszelik (No. 4), who each played for USA Hockey's National Team Development Program Under-18 team.
"They're two totally different-style goaltenders," Jensen said. "Silverstein (6-0, 179) is quick, athletic, and has phenomenal battle. Muszelik (6-2, 195) is more positional, calm in there. He uses his big body to cover up the holes more than Silverstein because Silverstein is a little bit smaller."
Co-hosts Adam Kimelman and Mike G. Morreale also discussed when the first goalie might be selected in the 2022 draft after two were chosen in the first round of the 2021 NHL Draft (Sebastian Cossa, Detroit Red Wings, No. 15; Jesper Wallstedt, Minnesota Wild, No. 20). They also discuss the top-two ranked goalies in Central Scouting's International ranking (No. 1 Topias Leinonen; No. 2 Hugo Havelid).
