Wild prank war

If you’re going to call a teammate old, maybe don’t choose the team’s prankster.

Minnesota Wild forward Brandon Duhaime learned the hard way not to mess with veteran teammate Marc-Andre Fleury on Thursday.

The Wild goalie stole Duhaime’s clothes after Minnesota’s game against the Montreal Canadiens at Xcel Energy Center.

Duhaime was pictured leaving the arena with a jacket and no shirt on.

On Tuesday, Duhaime took a jab at Fleury's age in an intermission interview during their game against the Boston Bruins.

“It’s unbelievable [to watch Fleury compete],” Duhaime said in the interview. “I mean for him to do this at 50, it’s special and he’s awesome. He’s a great teammate, a great player and you see what he’s doing out there at 50.”

Of course, Fleury, a notorious prankster, wasn’t going to let that comment slide without having the last word.

Fleury told The Athletic’s Wild beat writer Michael Russo that he’s sure Duhaime will find his clothes somewhere.

One week later and the pranks were not done yet. Duhaime left Wednesday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings sporting a pair of white furry boots.

Fleury played coy when asked about his involvement.

“Yeah, he’s building up a little wardrobe you know,” Fleury said. “...It was good -- it wasn’t me though.

On Thursday, Duhaime left a pink cane on Fleury’s net during practice. The Wild goalie used the cane as his stick.

“This morning we had Secret Santa and that’s what I was delivered from Santa, a nice little cane,” Fleury said after practice.

Looks like the prank war is just starting to heat up in Minnesota.
